TEXT COL 2
Pharmaceutical competence field

According to a survey by the Federal Office of Statistics in the year 2000, an average household spends approximately 1.5% of their income on medication, which is around the same amount as the percent spent on cosmetics or telephone communication.
It is therefore all the more important to point out that the packaging is an integral part of medicine. It does not just serve as a means of protecting and stabilising the medication but also as means of conveying information and simplifying the administration. The packaging of medication is also an important part of the supply process which is subject to strict quality standards from the acquisition of raw materials through to distribution.
